Reviews of miniPro Connect Kit for NFC enabled Phones
This is the one to use with a Galaxy S5 in an i-Blason Prime Series Dual Layer Holster Case

I was getting a bit frustrated looking for a windshield mount for my S5. Due to the thickness and shape of the i-Blason Dual Layer Case, several otherwise very nice mounts failed to hold the phone securely, allowing it to pop out very, very easily. I tried an iOttie One Touch XL Windshield Dashboard Car Mount Holder for Galaxy S5/S4/Note3/Note 2 - Black (HLCRIO101) and a TechMatte ProGrip Universal Windshield Car Mount Holder/Cradle (Black) for the Samsung Galaxy S5/S4/S3/S2. and they were both nice mounts, but could not accommodate the i-Blason case safely. My wife is using a thinner case for her S5, and I kept an iOttie One Touch XL for her use, as it is the easiest to use, especially one-handed.
I just installed the mount today, an entirely simple procedure. It attaches very securely to the windshield, and I would imagine 4 of these could be used as handles to install a windshield, they are so strong. There is nothing at all that could vibrate.
It is a little bit difficult to insert the phone into the mount, mostly due to the very strong springs. On the other hand, I appreciate that strength when considering that I want my phone to stay put. With two hands, it's easy to place the phone, one on the phone and the other supporting the stationary part of the clamp. With a single hand, the technique is to use the side of the phone to open the moveable clamp, and then slide in the other edge to engage the stationary one. This invariably moved the position of the clamp body slightly. This may cause wear on the mounting ball; time will tell and I'll update this review if any issues arise.
The NFC tag to launch car mode does indeed start car mode on the S5, but I have yet to find a way for that to be used to invoke any car dock app.
